Print Culture lecture on “Modernist Publishing and the Digital Archive”
On March 11, the SFU English Department will be hosting their second talk this semester in the popular Print Culture series.
One of SFU’s Banting Postdoctoral Fellows, Claire Battershill, will be giving a talk on “Modernist Publishing and the Digital Archive.”
Claire Battershill is an academic and fiction writer. Her first book of short stories, Circus, was published by McClelland & Stewart in April 2014. She received her BA(Hons) in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford in 2007 and her PhD in English Literature and Book History from the University of Toronto in 2012. In 2008, she was a research assistant for Margaret Atwood’s Massey Lectures, Payback: Debt and the Shadow Side of Wealth (Anansi). Between 2013 and 2015 she was a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow and lecturer at the University of Reading.
