Duration: June 6- Sept 2, 2016

Weekly Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm / 35 hour work week

Rate of pay:         $15.00/hr

Project Description:

This position will focus on marketing with a specific project involving the launching of a new Sustainable Building series in the summer/fall of 2016.

  • Developing a list of contacts and establish contact with people at sustainable/natural/green building training schools who might use and/or sell the series books for courses and workshops.
  • Develop a contact list and follow up with natural/sustainable building websites, bloggers and media. Provide resource to enable these sites to promo our series.
  • Marketing through social media. Work with current in house systems and develop further avenues that maximize our social marketing opportunities which can be maintained and evaluated after the internship is complete. Provide a social media marketing plan that can be implemented with the release of each new book in the Sustainable Building Series.
  • Pinterest: Research this social media tool to discover ways in which the marketing department can utilize it. Create an on-going strategy for how to utilize Pinterest as part of our book marketing plans including the building series.
  • Create blog postings for books coming off of press as well as on related topics and/or current events. With a specific focus on providing copy for the release of each book in the building series.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and other related meetings attended by marketing staff.
