Betty Keller named recipient of 2015 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence

Former SFU faculty associate Betty Keller has been named the 2015 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence recipient.

Betty Keller is a teacher, mentor, editor, and writer, and has authored or co-authored many books, including biographies, histories, plays, and novels. She became a faculty associate in Simon Fraser University’s Education Dept (1975-1976, 1978-1979). Keller is also a founder of the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts and the Writers-in-Residence Program.

The award will be presented to Betty Keller at the 31st Annual Lieutenant Governor’s BC Book Prizes Gala on Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Vancouver.

The West Coast Book Prize Society is also hosting the 12th annual Soirée at Joe’s Apartment in Vancouver this Thursday, April 2, 2015. This free event celebrates all the nominated authors for the 2015 BC Book Prizes.
